Role Summary:
We are currently looking for a Shunt Truck Operator to join our fast-paced team at our Port Coquitlam Branch. This position reports to the Facility Supervisor. The immediate supervisor and/or department leader periodically checks assignments for progress. This position has no authority over other members of the team and has no direct reports.
Hours of Work:
Monday - Friday, 2:00pm – 10:00pm

In this role, you will:
- Primary role to shunt trailers and containers on and off building
- Yard maintenance, including managing arrangement of trucks and trailers as well as other movements within yard
- Pick up and return trailers and containers to CPKC -Pitt Meadows
- Circle check of power unit post trip
- Capably operate a variety of equipment- Single Axle, Tandem Axle, 5-ton trucks
We’re looking for someone who brings:
Education & Experience:
- Must have valid Class One (1) manual license
- 2 years of driving experience
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. repetitively
- Clean drivers abstract
- Criminal record check must be submitted if hired within 30 days of hired
- Good time management skills
- Creative and effective problem-solving ability
- Fluent verbally and possess good written English skills
