Role Summary:
The Corporate Recruiter plays a key role in recruiting talent for the Fastfrate Group of Companies and is responsible for all levels of recruitment for all departments, divisions and locations. This includes consulting on candidate sourcing strategies, conducting behavioural interviews, and making hiring recommendations. It also includes screening applicants, conducting thorough background checking, administering the hiring requisition process, posting position requirements to a variety of media, scheduling interviews, preparing offer packages, etc.
The Corporate Recruiter also takes on other HR related assignments and special projects as required to support the team, and grow and develop as a professional.
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm
Work Arrangement: On-site
Position Type: Non-Union

Compensation: Salary Range: $65,000 to $75,000

In this role, you will:
- Execute all aspects of the internal and external recruitment process for all business groups, locations and divisions (including Fastfrate, CDI, Challenger, Elgin, TLS, ASL, and Precision).
- Develop candidate-sourcing strategies, prepare job postings, advertise open roles, screen resumes, conduct behavioural-based interviews, complete reference and background checks and make hiring recommendations.
- Prepare employment contracts and secures required approvals; prepares offer letter packages.
- Maintain an active and organized data bank of candidates for various positions via our Applicant Tracking System.
- Conduct research around job postings and implement creative sourcing strategies (e.g. LinkedIn Recruiter).
- Write persuasive job advertisements and collaborates with Managers on how and where jobs are advertised.
- Effectively develop and communicate the various organizations brands through all recruitment communications and documentation to ensure the attraction of a high performing workforce.
- Attend industry related job fairs throughout the community as required.
- Perform general administrative duties such as maintaining daily / weekly / monthly reports for recruiting as required.
- Assist HR leadership team with assignments or special projects as required.
- Perform other duties as required.

We’re looking for someone who brings:
Education & Experience:
- 2-5 years of corporate recruitment / staffing experience, using LinkedIn Recruiter and hiring for a variety of roles and levels.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field considered an asset
- Experience with Dayforce HRIS recruitment module considered an asset.
- Intermediate user of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
- A variety of HR experience beyond recruitment considered an asset.
- Experience in the transportation or logistics industry considered an asset.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and a superior attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle a high volume of recruitments at a time and stay organized.
- Experience in pipelining and being proactive by reaching out to candidates through social media.
- Ability to act with maturity and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong customer service focus, verbal communication skills, relationship building and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and independently with individuals at various levels is required.
- Ability to enhance employer brand and reputation in the recruiting market place.
